Code of Conduct

At Emocien, we are committed to fostering a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and included. Our Code of Conduct reflects our dedication to diversity, inclusivity, and mutual respect. By participating in our platform, you agree to uphold the following principles:

• Keep others safe – Keep everyone safe at all times, especially their mental health.

• Be respectful – Treat others with dignity and respect. Avoid any form of abusive language, harassment, or discrimination. Consider the impact of your words and actions on others, regardless of your intent.

• Be inclusive – Embrace diversity and respect everyone's privacy and confidentiality. Ensure that all individuals, regardless of their background or identity, feel respected, valued and included in our community.

• Be kind – Treat people how THEY expect to be treated. If making a criticism, I will consider my words and their tone, and will attempt to avoid causing any offense.

• Be honest – Share information truthfully and responsibly. Refrain from spreading false or biased content that may mislead others. Be balanced in how you express your views and present both sides.

• Take responsibility – You are responsible for the things you write, say and do. Only write, say and do things that will not cause offense. Expect to be held accountable for what you say, write and do.

• Be a good ambassador – Understand your personal and professional opinions can easily become blurred, especially online. Represent yourself, others and Emocien in a fair, balanced and professional manner.

• Credit others – Give credit to the work of others and respect copyright laws. Obtain permission before using copyrighted material for example images on the Emocien platform. Avoid plagiarism and ensure compliance with intellectual property rights.

• Think before reacting – If receiving criticism, forgive directness and a lack of niceties. Assume good intentions from others, but do not tolerate abusive behaviour. Report any misconduct to maintain a safe environment.

• Follow the rules – You agree to read, understand and follow Emocien’s: End User Licence Agreement; Terms of Service; Code of Conduct; its various policies and other rules.

• No selling – You agree not to use Emocien’s platform to undertake any advertising, promotional, sales or similar activity on Emocien's platform that may influence or require a purchase decision from members.

• Protect others – Delete or report content you feel is against Emocien’s: End User Licence Agreement; Terms of Service; Code of Conduct; its various policies and other rules.

• Conduct enforcement – You agree to be bound by the procedures and decisions of Emocien’s Conduct Committee. This Committee shall have the authority to act at its sole and absolute discretion.
