Emocien utilises Microsoft technology extensively. Microsoft is a world-class technology provider and one of the world's most trusted. With so many quick, cheap and self-programming platforms available, customers will understandably be cautious about where they put their personal and mental health data. Emocien aims to become the most trusted name in the mental health sector. So it uses the most trusted technology.
Vibe Code has boomed in recent years. Apple recently "blocked Vibe Coding tools" from its App Store, "constraining the ability of the average user to “vibe code” apps" . This article shows how immature technologies can cause customers problems, which is why Emocien uses known, proven, trusted, world-class Microsoft technology.
Emocien's App is built in Microsoft technology as a Progressive Web Application (PWA), which has two main advantages: i) as a web App just needs internet access to operate, it works on most modern devices (any smartphone, any tablet, any laptop and desktop PC, MacBooks etc); and ii) it takes less than five seconds to install and doing so doesn't require you to go to an App Store. See the 'GO TO THE APP' section of this website for instructions on how to get the Emocien App on your device.
Emocien is built in Microsoft Azure and .NET. Microsoft software is about the most well-known, most secure, most trusted and most globally available software in the world, which is why we use it.
Emocien uses Microsoft Defender to secure and protect its web App and database technology. As the Emocien App is built in Microsoft Azure and .NET, the most compatible cyber security software is obviously Microsoft cyber security, which is why we use it.
Emocien is hosted in Microsoft Azure Cloud. Used by over 85% of the USA's Fortune 500 companies, Azure Cloud is truly world-class.
Emocien uses Microsoft Azure Communication Services (ACS) to support its App's e-mail and messaging functions. Again, ACS is well known, operates globally , compatible with Emocien's web App and trustworthy.
Emocien holds data entered into its App in a Microsoft SQL Server database, a reputable, secure and trustworthy database.
Emocien's web App and database technology has been built and implemented by Microsoft Certified Engineers who have been building software solutions in Microsoft technology for two decades.
VERSION 1.2 - Emocien's 2026 web App is it's version 1.1 App. It's version v1.1 (now v1.0) as it includes customer feedback from beta testing. This v1.1 web App will be improved continually throughout 2026, based upon customer Suggestions and our own ideas.
Emocien has built a website that comprises a Resource Centre to help customers find information about their mental health and how to manage it, and an Online Community where customers can meet each other to share knowledge and experiences. Emocien will publish this website in 2027.
VERSION 2.0 - Work and the workplace are known to cause mental harm and aggravate mental health. A v2.0 of the Emocien web App will be introduced during 2027. This will offer individual customers a way to use data to manage their mental health as it is affected by work and the workplace. In some countries (eg. Australia, United Kingdom), employers have a legal duty to manage employee mental health. A selection of workplace mental hazards regulated in the UK can be found here. The UK's health regulator, the HSE, only promotes the control of six workplace mental hazards, whereas research shows there are many more. Emocien's v2.0 App will cover twelve workplace mental hazards, providing significant additional support to individual customers.
Emocien intends to offer the above features to individual customers at no extra cost.
VERSION 3.0 - Emocien is developing a mental health data platform for employers. This data platform not only offers the core v1.1 web App to employees, but also incorporates workplace mental health workplace hazards and workplace interventions. It uses anonymised and aggregated employee data to give employers actionable insights into workforce mental health. This employer mental health data portal will be published in 2027.
VERSION 4.0 - Emocien has clearly defined plans to use artificial intelligence (AI). It plans to develop a Large Language Model (LLM) that .... well, that's confidential for now.
